To keep things interesting here on TheWantedUS.com, every Friday we’re going to feature 2 of our favorite past videos/interviews/snippets related to The Wanted and highlight them right here on our site! Fans who have seen the video before can reminisce and share their favorite parts, while new fans can catch up and see what they’ve missed! Today kicks off the 1st Edition of #TWFlashbackFriday!
Jen’s Pick: I think this video is just absolutely hilarious!! Poor Parade; the way the guys just terrorize them.. Their shrieking and screaming is just too funny. This is definitely a video full of laughs! Hope you enjoy. :) You can watch Part 1 here.
Liv’s Pick: I really liked this video because it was one of the first interviews they did here in the US during the tour. And plus we literally saw them a few hours later. My favorite part is when Jay tells the story about kneeing the little girl in the head lol. Poor little girl. They’re just all around hilarious in this one. Enjoy! :)
Tweet us at @TheWantedUS your thoughts and reactions of these two videos. What are some of your favorite parts?

Cambio was lucky enough to interview The Wanted and these guys aren’t short on charm–or funny answers.
The Wanted’s Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes sat down to answer a lineup of questions and had some interesting responses.
Check out the video for the full interview, which includes their vices (they say “partying”) and guilty pleasures (Camp Rock, mint ice cream, “love” movies like The Notebook and Twilight).
Find out some of the things The Wanted’s fans don’t know–including which of the band members has ADHD, who has hairy toes and who chipped a tooth “by chewing on a screwdriver.”
We’ll leave their crazy tour story up to the guys to explain–let’s just say it involves some bathroom talk.

Boyband The Wanted are hard at work preparing for their live performance at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Los Angeles, but have shared a supposedly new press shot with their devoted fans.
The lads took to their official Twitter page earlier today (May 18) and sent out a link to a photograph that shows them stood against an exposed brick wall while wearing leather jackets and different coloured jeans.
They have spent a few hours today promoting their new single, ‘Chasing The Sun’, via their social networking accounts and were excited to learn that the track had topped the Irish iTunes singles chart. Tom Parker wrote:
“Chasing the sun goes straight in at no.1 in Ireland on iTunes today. Love you guys! X”
The Wanted also recently revealed that their next goal is to get waxworks of themselves displayed in London’s Madame Tussauds.

There are a lot of differences between the boy bands of the ’90s, ‘NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys, and the new crop today. For one thing, neither the Wanted nor One Direction can dance. It’s not a diss — ask them and they’ll tell you themselves.
The Wanted’s Jay McGuinness told CBS Local, “I don’t think we set off trying to break the mold of boy bands. I never thought I’d be in a boy band, growing up, but when I joined I didn’t think, ‘We need to change the game people.’”
Nathan Sykes interjected to jokingly say, “I did.”
McGuinness continued, “I knew that I didn’t want to be that sort of boy band that dances in sync, get told how to look…Apart from every other thing that’s different about us, we all, straight away, knew that we didn’t want to be that boy band.”
The guys are a mix of ’90s style boy bands, in their presentation and that they were put together by a team, and ’60s boy bands, because they can play instruments and co-write/co-produce their songs.
And, they’ll happily tell you, they feel more kinship to the Beatles than to ‘NSYNC.
“I feel that the Beatles, for me, were one of the best bands in the world,” Tom Parker said. “And they were never a dancing boy band. They were always playing [instruments]. We can all play. I suppose we take a little bit of influence from them in terms of wanting to get up on stage and show people we’ve got another side to us.”
“And just to clarify,” Nathan said, “we are not comparing ourselves to the Beatles.”
Something the Beatles never did, but the Wanted did, is live together. The guys moved into a house they shared when they first came together as a band in order to get to know each other better. They recently moved into their own places. They all agreed they don’t miss it.
“We all basically live on the same road,” McGuinness said. “I think it’s quite cool because we spend all day together. When you get home you’re like, ‘I don’t want to see these faces anymore.’ Kidding, but it is nice to live somewhere where they’re not going to walk in your room while you’re doing…”
McGuinness paused dramatically to let the mind wonder just what he gets up to in his room alone.
“It felt like university all the time, didn’t it?” Parker asked the group.
“Yeah, when lived together we were…in each other’s pockets all the time,” McGuinness replied, using a British slang term for spending too much time together. “We see each other every day, all day but I like it. I get sad if I don’t see these for too long.”
Siva Kaneswaran let out a big “awwwww” at McGuinness’s sweet sentiment.
“Not you,” McGuinness joked.

So the fifth and final instalment of the #TW4Music blog comes from me, @jaythewanted.
It’s been a busy week for us 5 lads in the US. To give you a sense of just how busy we’ve been our week has included travel from and to LA, San Diego, Las Vegas and Minneapolis and as I write this we’re flying to Milwaukee. Then it’s Chicago and Boston before heading back to Las Vegas for the Billboard Awards. We’re also stopping off in Philadelphia before heading back to the UK on Tuesday. If only you could pay bills using air miles. If only there was some kind of time machine that could get us from country to country. If only…I’ll stop there otherwise this could be a very long and very boring blog!
Back to the Billboard Awards, we’re really excited and it’s hard to believe we’re going to be sharing the bill with the likes of Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson and Usher. Come to think of it we’ll be sharing the bill with them at The Summertime Ball too. No doubt by then we’ll all be best of friends. No Doubt aren’t performing, just to be clear. I’m just saying no doubt. I should probably stop saying no doubt now though.
You may or may not be aware that this Sunday we’re releasing our brand new single Chasing The Sun. It was written for us by the brilliant Example, who it has to be said is rather top at the old song writing malarkey.
Talking of song writing we’ve been getting demos back this week of some of the tracks we wrote a few weeks ago and if I say so myself there’s a couple of stonking tunes in there. I’m now going to go and put my head under a cold tap for using the word “stonking”.
Next week you can see us performing Chasing The Sun on Daybreak plus you can see a very enjoyable T4 interview with the lovely Jameela Jamil. Well, we enjoyed it anyway.
So until then….you’ll find us Chasing The Sun. Or more likely you’ll find us asleep.
Jay x
